Objective
Enhance the user-friendliness of Streak Scanner, with a specific focus on refining the platform for intuitive interactions, simplifying processes, and ensuring an effortless experience for all users. The primary goal is to create a trading tool that is exceptionally easy to navigate, enhancing overall usability and satisfaction for a broad user base.

Streak Scanner allows you to create and run scans across equities, futures, and options using technical indicators and math operators. You can also discover popular prebuilt scanners.
Research
Research Insights & Findings
My research included competitive analysis to better understand the UX of screening platforms. Aside from the basic competitive research I accompanied by customer support lead and PM conducted short interviews with the users.
Perception of Lengthy Process
The user feels that the current process is lengthy. This could indicate a need for streamlining and optimizing the user journey, possibly by simplifying steps, reducing unnecessary actions, or improving the overall efficiency of the system.
Natural Language Conditions
The user expresses a preference for articulating conditions in the form of sentences. This suggests a desire for a more natural and intuitive interface, where conditions can be described in plain language rather than relying on complex and unfamiliar technical syntax.
Inefficiency in Adjustments

To simplify the user journey for scanner creation, I mapped out the entire process, meticulously identifying potential pain points. Comparing and Measuring Experiences
After designing the new scanner interface, we conducted a comprehensive comparison of the user experience (UX) journey between the old and new scanners. Our evaluation included key metrics such as engagement, task completion times, and overall satisfaction. Through user feedback and analytics, we aimed to identify improvements and challenges introduced by the new interface. This data-driven approach guides us in making informed decisions for ongoing enhancements and ensures our designs consistently meet user expectations.
Dashboard Overview
For the scanner dashboard, our focus was on incorporating features for both creating custom scanners and utilizing prebuilt scanners. We aimed to provide users with the tools to effortlessly create their own scanners while also offering a selection of prebuilt options for added convenience and efficiency. This approach ensures that users have the flexibility to tailor their scanning experience to their specific needs, whether they prefer to start from scratch or utilize existing templates.
